The Solution Revolution!

Life is full of problems. Anyone who disagrees must be lying. The mother of invention may be inspiration, but isn’t that inspiration always a problem? Small talk… almost always starts off with a common problem. Come to think of it, problems are the root of human nature. Animals only have two problems… survival and procreation. What makes television shows interesting? Conflict (a synonym of problem). Comedians? Usually people with funny problems. Problem solving is a prized skill in any profession and culture. We elect officials who can fix the problems of the people. People who solve a problem in a business get promoted. In ancient cultures people who fixed problems were worshiped. Even religion… an evil or opposing force is trying to enslave or manipulate the people, so a good force comes along to help the people asking only for devotion and trust. Instead of complaining about problems, we should all embrace them as what makes us who we are. Find answers and learn… it’s what we have problems for in the first place!

Stupidity = ∞

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the the universe.” Albert Einstein was quite possibly the greatest thinker of his, or any, time. Through years of observation and thought he devised this little quote. I personally find it to be one of the most truthful things I have ever heard. There is really no reason to cite any examples of stupidity. It surrounds us all, from work to school, on the road, and even at home! I think it would be surprising to count the amount of times we use words directly associated with stupidity in one day… I don’t think we could keep up! When I drive somewhere, I automatically assume everyone is dumb, and vocalize it regularly. Luckily I drown myself out with music or I would be a major contributer to the road rage of others. The stupid ones must not know what they say and do. It can be so juvenile and imbecilic… I know small children that could get a drink order right or deliver a pizza to a simple address… stuff stupid people manage to screw up on a regular basis. I’m not blaming anybody with learning disorders or mental issues, just the average people who refuse to elevate themselves because they were mentally “beat down” in school as a child. This is no excuse. I am far from smart, but I try to do better each day and THINK about what I do. When I make a mistake I apologize and make up for it, not slink away with my tail between my legs.

I like to thank John Keats for the inspiration, but he lived in a time where someones word is all they have for others to judge them by… money only got you so far. Now everything has a price. This seems to piss people off, but I see it as more of an opportunity. Knowing I am a pretty truthful helps my ability to see through the flash and sparkle of the fabrications of others. No I am not immaculate… I lie and I fall for lies. I just put an effort on a system of ethics. This helps make life more predictable and manageable. I’m no genius, but if the world tried to push itself to more truth, it would be a much more beautiful place.

First Blog… unorigional!

YES I WILL BLOG! I have been putting the blog craze off until now… I have been pushed and pulled so here it goes. Bring on the bashing, the adoring, the laughs, the grimaces. Point out the spelling and grammar mistakes and embrace the wit! I’m throwing caution to the wind and giving my opinions a go. I hope somebody enjoys the many “random ass nancies” and “yuppie bible” verses in some rants to come!
